They were both farmers, used compose songs in their leisure hours and were looked upon by the people as "airy" men.
Nanno Mc Govern, Timothy's sister, used help him to compose his songs, but unfortanately never made any attempt to compose for herself. Their family now live in the townland of "Cnoc na Chrochadh but the gift of poetry making has expired.- Collector
