  1. There are the ruins of an protestant church in Castleblakeney and there is an old graveyard convenient to it.
    Long ago there were a great many protestants in Castleblakeney and round about. So on that account the church was built. All of the protestants died or left and then the roof was taken off and sold to a contractor in Tuam. The floor and windows were also sold to him. Both Catholics
