    There is a place in this district which is called the TRAVELLERS REST. It is situated on the side of the road in Cloonagh near Michael Gannon's house. It is a long flat stone where travellers would always rest and that is how it got its name.

    PÁIRC IRELAND = There is also a large field in the district which is called Páirc Ireland. It is a very big field and is stocked with a great amount of cattle and sheep. It is said that it is the biggest field in Ireland and on that account the old people called it that name.

    NANNIE'S WELL. There is a well in this district and it is called Nannie's well. There was a house near the well and there was an
