    old woman in the house whose name was Nanny. She went on many occasions to the well each day and the neighbours called it that name.

    MARING DITCH. There is a ditch in which is called the maring ditch. It is a very big ditch and a little bush grows on it. In summer the people rest there and long ago a man was resting there and he died there. He died just under the bush. His name was Potter and the bush is now called Potter's bush. It separates my grand-father's land from Dominick Mc Evoys.
