    break loose. This excited the other horses and they started to gallop madly. The coach driver was not able to stop them. As they were running round a turn on the road which had two deep dykes on each side, the wheels of the coach skidded on the frosty road. The coach turned over and fell into the dyke. A number of men and women succeeded in jumping clear but two men and a woman were pinned beneath the coach as it fell and they were killed instantly. One of the horses was killed and two others were drowned in the dyke which was in flood at the time.
