    A Local Happening
One morning when my grandfather was passing Hately-Manor he heard a rumbling noise. He looked up and he saw that the chimney had fallen in on the house, and as he ran he heard screams and cries of young children.
He got a pick and broke in the window where the chimney had fallen in. He saw the feet of a nurse under some mortar. He got away the debris and he pulled out the nurse. Then he saw a young girl under a form covered with a cloth. The girl was pulled out and she had only a few scratches on her leg. The nurse died a half an hour later.
