  2. Marriage Customs.
    John Mc Loughlin Scardawn told me that fifty or sixty years ago, girls were stolen away from their fathers and mothers, and made marry boys older than themselves. The poor girls could not say a word, but were taken away by force and had to marry. Any place boys knew of a good looking girl, they planned it up with three or four other boys, to go the house in the late hours of the night and demand her.
