- In ancient times in Ireland there was an animal much the same size and shape as a pig only that it was black. It was said that any places it travelled there was a battle or there would be one there sometime. The black pig was seen at Ballinamuck before the battle was in it. The places it travelled were called "The Valley of the Black Pig". Before the last Great War the black pig was seen going through Ireland.
