- About thirty years ago the marriage took place in Annaduff Protestant Church of a man named Willie Medley. He was a Protestant man and he was rather daft and on the morning of the wedding there were hundreds of people there, as everybody knew him from far and near. He was a very rich man and he had a great wedding.Some of the people went home after the wedding, and dressed and came back as Band-beggars. The wedding lasted all day long and the people were dancing, singing and drinking porter. They had so much drink taken that some of them got it very hard to get home. The marriage was supposed to be in May but it was said that May was not a lucky month to be married.(continues on next page)
