- In the parish of Gortletteragh about 2 miles from Ballinamuc there is a cross roads called the Nailer's cross.This cross roads is in the Townland of Cattan and Mr Flinn has a shop beside it now.The cross roads is so called because a Nailer a man who made nails had his house and forge there. His name was Flynn.He was [ ] years when he died some 27 years ago.The Nailer's cross roads is well known as in recent years some football Matches have been played there between the Gortletteragh football Team and other Leitrim Teams. I gave this out to the Master & I got the information from my mother.
