    holes are closed. When the stalks appear above the ground they are moulded and after some time they are sprayed. The spraying mixture is made up of blue-stone and washing soda. These things are put in a barrel, with water to dissolve it. When it is dissolved it is put in a spraying machine and a man takes it on his back and walks up and down the furrows spraying the stalks
