- A FortThere is a fort in Mrs. Lavery's land in the townland of Ballyline about two miles from the village of Ballylongford. It is circular in shape and it is surrounded by trees. Long ago when Patrick Lavery was cutting his hay in the meadow, he saw a broken oven on the ditch of the fort. He took it home and fixed it and took it to the ditch again. When he was cutting his hay again he saw a cake of bread on the ditch, and the oven was taken. This story was told to me by my Grand-father.Patrick Walsh, Aged 84 years
