    The Lislaughtin Processional Cross was found by a farmer named Mr. John Jeffcott who lived in the townland of Ballymackessy about one mile or so from Lislaughtin Friary, when ploughing his land on the thirthieth of March in the year 1871.
    The Cross contains a Latin Inscription, which tells us it was made by one of the O'Connor family. It was presented to the Abbey on the fourth of June 1479. The height of the Cross is twenty six and a half inches, and the width
