- About twenty years ago a man from Ballincloher, whose name is Brosnan, was coming from a dance about twelve o'clock when he saw a sow and twelve bonhams in a perfectly straight line, along the road, and a sow he met near a gate.
He got a great fright, and he had to step across them because they would not leave his way - just stood there without leaving the spot.
That story is quite true and the man is living yet in Ballincloher, who tells the tale.
