- Travelling FolkTravelling folk still call to my home. These people have been doing this as long as I remember. Some of these people are poor, others of them are rich.
They sell small articles such as prayer-books, laces, collar-studs and holy pictures. People but from them. They obtain most of their supplies in Woolworth's in Sligo.
Those travellers are not generally welcome. When they set up their camp they remain for about a week. Some of them sleep in camps, others of them sleep in caravans. They have food with them. The alms they accept are eggs, tea, sugar, flour or anything they get.
