    on top of the butter. She took off all the butter she could but it took her all her time to have dressed when Peadar came from the fair. The mass of butter vexed him altogether and he said that now all ws gone but the cow. They had nothing to eat so he said he would have to kill the cow. This he did and cut her up and salted her. "Now mind that says Peadar, "It will dress every head of cabbage in the garden. i will go now to the mill to get more meal for bread. " When Shuawbeen got up she started to work and put a piece of the cow on top of every head of cabbage in the garden. Peadar came late from the mill and during the night he was awakened by the "ruille buille" in the garden. "I say Shuawn" says he, "what would all the dogs be coming round the house for." "Oh! says she, "It must be after the meat I put on the cabbage." "Is that what you did" says Peadar, "Oh! yeas isn't it well you know the right number of pieces to cut I had one for every head." "We're done entirely now" says he, "We must clear off in the morning to the wood; we are a show in the country and all the neighbours laughing at us
