  1. A Local Song

So now the time is coming

    A Local Song
So now the time is coming
boys we must be going away.
We must go to England for
    to cut down the hay.
We must go to England with
    our bundles on our backs.
To go to see our masters and
    go sleeping in the sacks.
    If we were going to
    America or some other Country.
    We would be up at
    daylight and we would go
    most decently. But when we
go to England its at night
    weel trudge away.
In hopes to be in Ballymote
at the dawning of the day.
    When we go to Ballymote
we are ready one and all.
