  1. Local Song

I got an ugly nasty fall.

    Local Song
I got an ugly nasty fall
Against a rough and rugged wall.
All in a dark and dismal hall
One day I went to a fair.
It left me unable to clean my nose.
Or put my hand out in my clothes
I was battered and smashed from head to toes
1911! my curse be in Aclare.
The day being windy wet and cold
I got a bit numb by being old.
And when my bit of stock I sold
    I rambled down the town.
Where I met an old time jolly chum.
We went in and drank some rum
We drank ahead and did the bum.
    1911! wasn't I the clown
I filled myself up to the neck
I own it was an ugly trick.
I groped around to find my stick
And it made me cough and sneeze
Then I toddled up the dirty road
