    castle was knocked. The only ruins that remain now are a heap of stones, though it was once a good strong Castle.
    Castle-Shannon and Míniogcháin and other lands were given to Thomas, son of Patrick, Lord of Lixnaw, on January the 7th 1596.
    Mínigocháin was confiscated in 1604 from Edmund, son of Robert and grandson of Thomas Fitzmaurice, who joined the rebellion of 1579.
