    Bhí duine bocht saonta cois teineadh uair a's coinín 'á bheirbhiú san oighean aige. Bhí forc i láimh leis. Ní fheadair sé ar domhan caithin a bheadh an coinín beirbhthe.
    Bhuail buachaill ó'n mbaile isteach.
    "Ariú sáidh an forc innte, a's má théigheann an forc tríthe gan duadh beidh sí beirbhthe," ars an garsún.
    "Ab'eadh mhuis," ars an fear eile, "ná raghadh an forc san tríd d'á mbeadh an coinín thiar sa choinigéar."
