  1. (continued from previous page)
The servant say he did nigh
    For anger he was bent
I own I have no farm now
Its true I pay no rent
I have a shilling when its earned
To get handy at my call
To spend with the Pride of Lougher
    Three miles from Annascaul.
A row then rose between them
    Some stones began to fly
As I lay hid behind the fence
One struck me in the eye
    I screamed out mile murder
In to the road did crowl
I paid for the Lougher courtship
    Three miles from Annascaul.
Success may attend this fair maid
    She did those men betray
May her red rosy cheeks n'er wither
    Or her beauty fade sway
    Prosperity may attend her
Till the Lord will on her call
She's the charming pride of Lougher
    Three miles from Annascaul.
