    Granscaham- Wheat boiled in water and kept boiling all day, and water being added to it as it boils away until it is soft. It was eaten with a little sugar and new milk.
    Stampy- Raw potatoes grated and the juice squeezed out of them then salt and flour mixed through them. Then flattened and baked on a griddle and eaten with new milk and butter. This used be made specially for November Night.
    Yellow Squares- Yellow meal wet with boiling water and very little flour added.
    Flummery- Boiled wheat and then eaten.
