One time there were two Danes who could make beer from heather.

One time there were two Danes who could make beer from heather. No one but themselves knew how this was done.
Some of the Irish tried to get the secret from them by means of threats
The elder of the two men said "Kill Martin and I will tell you the secret"
This was done and he said "Kill me now." This shows how dearly they held that secret. He would not tell.
The name Kilmartin is derived from the words the Dane said "Kill Martin"
