  2. Composition
    Old Remains.
    The only ruins around here are Dempsey Mills. They were worked by water-powder. They used to grind oats.
    There is a stone standing up on top of Leabrean that is beside Carra house in Patrick Joe McCann's field. The people of the district say that people were hung on that stone during the Penal laws.
    The remains of Castleconnor Chapel are to be seen in Kilanly grave-yard. All that is to be seen of it now is the holy-water font, the Cross and the stones.
