    Bible from English into Irish so that the people could understand it and he was well paid for it. After all this he died a Catholic and was buried with his relatives in the old Cemetery in Skreen. His living relatives were offered a very large sum of money if they only allowed the remains into the Protestant Church for Service so as to give the impression that he died a Protestant. This they refused.
    About a quarter of a mile from that in the townland of Carrowcastle, was another school in later years. The teacher of this school was Mr. Dan Kilcullen. He had an inn there. It was
