- (continued from previous page)carriage home, his tenants met him, they took out the horses from the carriage and drew it them selves to give him honour. The parish priest at that time of Skree and Dromard was Father Michael Conway. He wasn't pleased at their doing, he told them they took out the horse from the carriage, and made asses of themselves. He also told them that there were people listening to him that would live to see the crows flying through the windows of the castle. Sometime afterwards it went on fire and they succeeded in putting it out. One Sunday it went on fire again and all the people in the parish couldn't quench it until it burned everything but the walls. It still stands there for the last fifty years as a ruin and landlords people lived(continues on next page)
