  1. Once upon a time here lived in a portion of the parish of Curry called Móinte a very strong man. His name was Jack Séan Mhóir.
    He was noted for his strength.
    Like many of his neighbours he went to England to the harvest.He got work at a farmer and he was not bong there until he noticed his great strength.
    He made a bet with another farmer that Jack could raise two men on his hands.
    A man stood on each hand and he raised them over his head and sat upwards.
    His maste was so proud of him that he gave him the bet of £10.
