“There were two men ploughing a field one day...”
There were two men plowing a field one day and in this field there was a fort. The horses ploughed all right until they came to the fort. When they had the first scrape ploughed the horses refused to work. They took them out and one of them went wild so they had to shoot him. I the other man brought his horse home but he would not work. He made up his mind to go to the fair of Boyle to sell him. So he started the night for and he had not gone far when the voice from behind the fence told him three times not to go. He did not heed the voice so he went on his journey. When he was a long time on the road he met a crowd of people. Some of them were mocking him while others were trying to help him. They kept that up until the cock crew. He said the he would walk a while with the horse as he was tired riding. As soon as he was down from the horse it ran away. There was no sight of him to be seen anyplace. He said he would go on to the fair of Boyle. When he got there he saw the horse was biting and kicking all the other horses. He had to be shot also.
