So he half filled a large overn with water, hung it on the fire, got the meal and after a short time commenced making the porridge when he was a little while doing this he suddenly though of the cow standing all day in the byre and should be out on pasture. Well he had no time now to go to the pasture field with her, it was too late in the day and the clock was moving very fast, hadn't the churning finisher, the pigs were not fed, the hens got nothing to eat, it was past dinner-time now, he thought of a plan, the dwelling was a low thatched house and there was good grass growing on the roof and fairly high bank to the back so he tied a long
