    Frederick Hamilton an English officer in charge of a garrison at Manorhamilton burned the Dominican abbey on the shore of Lough Arrow in Ballindoon in the parish of Geevagh in County Sligo. He killed the monks. He was killed himself by a woman who used an old gun that lay in a wall near by. Her name was Keaney.
