In the winter months indoor games such as billiards, badminton and others are played by large numbers. The children in the town play marbles, tops and football which is not of a very scientific kind.
Of late some people have started playing English football:- soccer and a team is already formed which plays teams from Boyle, Colloney and other neighbouring places.
These are the games that are played here and more people are taking part in them daily. It is a pity though that there is not more Gaelic games played.
