    in a big field in Branchfield which belonged to a man named "Gethins" The game was played between townland's.
    People used to come from far and near to see the game.
    There was a football match played in Dea Mullen's field about thirty years ago between Emlaghfad and Carrigans.
    During the course of the game an Emlaghfad played named Pat Curly locally known as "The Tailor" had a dispute with one of the Carrigans footballers named John Conlon. Curly struck Conlon and knocked him down. Then, snatching his coat from the ground where he had it left during the game he made for home. He took across
