- The youth of Ireland have always displayed a great fondness for games and manly sports. Our history tells many interesting stories of the feats of our ancestors. The boys of ancient Erin loved to show their prowess on the field of battle. The games played by our ancestors in remote times in the days of the Red Branch Knights and of Finn and the Fianna were for the most part the same as our young people play today.
