- I heard this story from a man named Patrick Hever, Bearleagh, Keash, Ballymote, Co. Sligo who is now sixty five years old. One night when he was coming home from a game of cards and as he was turning a crossroads about two miles from Ballymote he saw twelve fairies. They were all dressed in red. There was a table in the middle of them and they were sitting around the table playing a game of cards. When they saw him they disappeared.
