  1. The old people had a custom of giving fields some curious Irish names such as, "Páirch Thiar", "Páirch na Trínseabhlá", Páirch na bPoll".
    In the district of Blennerville there is a stream called "Cundeen" and "Bow-corda". In our district there is a bush called "Leprachaun" or the "Cobbler's Bush" and also the "Bush of the spirit".
    The rocks are called "Rock of the Butter" "Goat's rock". There were several raths in our townland too. There is a place by the name of "Fairies place" also in this townland.
