- (continued from previous page)men drowned in the Black-water. There was also a boy by the name of O'Shea drowned in Geragh near Farranfore.About 50 years ago there was a great snow storm. It killed a lot of sheep and cattle. The snow was from 10 to 14 ft high, and the remains of it lasted for 3 months. The people suffured very much for 2 or 3 weeks as they could not go to the shop for any provisions.
