    Nohoval churchyard is a very old one. It is sheltered by trees and it contains a few tombs. It is said that this graveyard was once in Ballinahulla in the parish of Ballydesmond, in a field owned by Dan O'Connor of that townland, and that it was transferred in one night from that place to Nohoval where it now is. In the field where it was, there are still to be seen stone flags standing there. They are supposed to be the headstones that remained, as it crossed the river Blackwater one of the headstones fell into the river and is
