    Before leaving, they ask a drink of water at the well from a man named Cairihan, who takes money for it. They fill a bottle then with it to take home with them. There is no fish in it or no bush or tree growing near it.
    There is a well in which a fish was one time, down in the glen in Denis Sheehan's field in western Tureencahill. It was a trout that was in it and the people freely used the water. One morning however, a woman named Mary Keeffe of Reabee, took home a bucket of water from that well to do the scalding. While skimming her milk, she put the water
