   And boast through all the stressful years we've kept our father's land

   That long drawn fight is ended our hymn of triumph sung

   And now in battle line we stand to keep our father's tongue

   'Twas nearly lost we blush to own but we have vowed that soon

   'Twill ring again triumphant through the Hills of Magheracloone.

   These ancient ramparts where we met have echoed to the clang

   Of Celtic spears on foreign shields and often have they rang

   With victory's proud defiant note in Celtic accents raised

   And here the Celtic heroes deeds the Celtic minstrel praised

   Here followed the blood of warriors brave who deemed it lifes best boon

   To die for fatherland upon the Hills of Magheracloone.
