  1. The most harmful weed growing on our farm is prussia. It is a weed that grows in oats and wheat. It destroys the ground and takes the good out of it, and it also leaves the crops hard to tie.
The ragwort gorws mostly where land is good, and whins grow where the land is poor.
Some herbs are used as cures for people, and for animals. The tops of the whins are boiled and the juice is used for a bad cold. It was also used for killing botts in horses.
The dandelion was used as an iron tonic. Rose Noble is used for putting blood in us. Water cress is used as medicine. Some herbs are very useful for sick people. There are not many herbs growing round here that are used for dyeing purposes.
