  1. Long ago most of the people made (ol) oaten bread. The flour was dear at that time. Poor people could not buy and as soon as the corn was treshed they sent it to the mill, they got as much meal made at ont time as made (m) bread until the next year.
    Long ago the people made many different kinds of bread. Potatoe bread was most common. They usually made it on Saterday night. On Saturday after dinner the kept as many potatoes that made a cake.
