Brave gallant sons of Farney from Louth to Ballytrain.
Come one and all at freedom's call to battle once again.
Against oppressions grinding power united still to stand.
And let our fearless watchword be "the People & the Land"

Tis not for stormy politics that Farney's up to - day,
Nor to cheer for some place hunting knave in quest of Saxon pay.
Nor to send some swell to Parliament of Whig or Tory brand
The struggle now is for ourselves-the people the land

When Benjamin he did begin to put the people down,
The slavish Bath Agreement in darkness was sent round
To sign away the people's right the tenants were trepanned
He hoped to have them once again like slaves at his command.

The tenant's bold defendants they met in Carrick town
True men of every creed that day like brothers stood around
All pledged to fight for tenant right no rack rent to endure
