It is unlucky to meet one magpie. If a hare runs in front of you on Christmas morning it is the sign of bad luck. If you hear a hen crowing it is the sign of bad luck. It is lucky to meet a white horse. It is lucky to find a tip of a mans boot. it is a sin to kill a hairy Mary because it is Gods horse. If a cock crows into the door it is the sign of bad luck.
