  1. The Famine
    Lucas (local landlord) boiled porridge for the people. People came with cans for their share. Some wernt able to travel for it and Lucas employed a man to deliver it to such people. Porridge eaten with water, as cows were all eaten, Dead men along the roads with their mouths full of grass. Porridge houses well known in district still. (3 of them).
