- Long ago when any person or animal took sick some of the people cured them by certain herbs which they usually found on the mountainsides.Once upon a time a man had a horse which took a disease called the "Fercey" A neighbour told him of a man who could cure this disease. The person went at once to him and asked him for the cure. He went out and gathered some herbs off the mountain-side. When he came in he put them in a pot and boiled them. He then put the liquid in a bottle and he told the man to put half the liquid in the horse's ears and to tie them tightly. He told them to make the horse drink the remainder.
