  1. There was a great jumper named Frank Mullen who lived Corleck, Monaghan. One day there was sports in Killeeran. The prize was a silver cup presented by Father Hugh Smyth of Aghaboy. The highest jump was 6feet 2inches and Frank cleared it.
    There was a man who lived in Corbyfin named named Owen Friend, a great runner. He ran from his own house to Monaghan in an hour.
    Owen ran a race in Dundalk. Leaving home at 7am and won easily by three yards getting a cup what he held until he died.
