David Wales of Crappagh was cutting turf in Knockcorr bog when he found a wooden basin like what butter used to be made in. He took it home and washed it. It was in a complete state of preservation. He left it outside to dry and when it came in contact with the air it crumbled away to pieces.
His father cut turf on the site of Crappagh N. S. He came upon a cave while working there and it appeared as tho the cave had been occupied at one time. There were huge circular stones which apparently were used for seats & the remains of a fire. He doesn't know if the cave led anywhere.
