  1. I
I'm just forty three and as smart as a bee
I can jump skip and turn like a hare
I've joined this new team as 'twas always my dream
To get running about in my hair.
Camogie they call it but I don't really mind
It's the chance I've been watching for years
To get showing my figure, my strength and my style
But for my shins and my calves I've no fear.
    Chorus
With my stick made of ash through the field I will dash
For my team I am certain to score
And the boys on the line will all cheer when I shine
And they'll shout "Up Corcaghan" with a roar.
    II
There are some cheeeky flappers who say I'm too old
An not fit for my place in the band
They say I'm not thinking of camogie at all
But out on the hunt for a man.
But that is a lie I'll very soon prove
In the very first match that I play.
And I bet two to one with woman or man
That I'll raise the first flag of the day.
