Ní bhíodh aon seimne ins na tighthib fadó. Poll mór a bhíodh ‘san bhfalla chun an deatach do leigint amach agus is ann a bhíodh an teine. Ní bhíodh ach aon doras ins na tighthibh fadó. Dúnadh an doras le písa adhmhaid ‘san oidhthe agus cuireadh poll ‘san bhfalla agus do sheineadh an písa adhmaid isteach ann. Bíodh aon fhuinneóg amháin I cuid des na tighthibh agus adhmaid mar gloine ortha. Usáidtí cré chun an úrlár do dhéanamh. Deintí an teine le móin agus cipíní. I gcóir solais bíodh scuilb gúimhaise ar lasadh san oidhche acu.
