There is another famous well in the village for Gathabawn and it is called Tobar na Súl, It is said that when St Patrick was teaching near the well he met three poor men who were blind. They told the St that they were blind from their birth.
The Saint took pity on them and he brought them to this well and blessed the water and washed the eyes of the blind men and immediately they got back their sight and ever since the is called Tobar na Súl.
